Fire personnel were dispatched Wednesday afternoon to a small farm off of Brandon Circle to assist a family who’s goat had fallen approximately 10-15 feet down a pipe. Members of Beaverdam Volunteer Fire Department, Arnoldsville Volunteer Fire Department, and the Oglethorpe County Public Works all participated in the careful and successful rescue of the goat, who’s name is Bonnie.
The family has since reported that Bonnie had been checked out by their veterinarian and that the goat had not suffered any broken bones or injuries.
