On Friday, March 5th, 2021, members of Oglethorpe County Fire Rescue visited Oglethorpe County High School to talk with students about fire safety and prevention. Beaverdam Chief Jehu Pot and Beaverdam Lieutenant Cody Gibbs met with two (2) of Ms. Bland’s Early Childhood Education classes to discuss safe practices of fire safety and prevention including the importance of planning ahead for emergencies of all kinds, smoke and CO detector testing, and home safety.
